She Is An Essential Part of my Business, Like Having Wifi

Samantha Kelly is a Twitter Goddess. No really, you can find her @TweetingGoddess! So it's only fitting that when Samantha began looking for a virtual assistant to help her grow her business, she started on Twitter! Samantha followed prospective VA's closely, until she found her perfect match! Read more about Samantha's story, and how she found the perfect VA:

What were you struggling with in your business that led you to begin working with a virtual assistant?

I was getting busier the higher my profile went….and I am not good with spreadsheets or making things look pretty for presentations etc., so I was keeping an eye out for someone for a while. I also had a budget the busier I got, but had difficulty keeping track of invoices etc., and to be honest I was awful at chasing up money owed and didn’t know the right words to use! So knew I needed someone’s help.

As I am on social media a lot, I was watching a couple of people (be aware that on Twitter especially someone is always watching you)! And I noticed Sheila. Saw some lovely traits in her and through her tweets could see that she was a kind person and that she also knew her stuff. I arranged to meet her offline and we just hit it off. I felt safe and minded! Even the best leaders don’t know everything and we need someone to mind us sometimes!

Tell us a little bit about what you have delegated and how you work together?

Sheila organizes my diary, helps me put proposals together and also keeps track of my invoicing for me. Sheila also keeps me on track and helps me with planning ahead. Oh, and she loves spreadsheets and I hate them!

How has working with a virtual assistant supported your business, and you personally?

Oh my goodness, I would be lost without Sheila now. She is an essential part of my business. Like having Wifi!

What differences have you noticed in your business since you began working with a virtual assistant?

I feel like I am more organized. I feel more professional too, as my presentations look better and I also have more free time to spend with my family.

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs seeking virtual assistants?

Get testimonials, meet your VA and you will know straight away if they are the right person for you. Find someone like you, with the same integrity and similar personality who understands what you do and why you do it, and someone you can trust 100%!
