Look For Clients Who Respect The Work You Do

As the Commercial Director for an independent online marketing agency, mad4digital, Donavan Whyte knew he needed to have amazing account management for his clients. The only problem was finding the time to keep and take the meticulous records he needed! Luckily, Donavan was able to hire a virtual assistant that shared his passion for detail and organization. He shared a little bit about their journey working together with us below!

What inspired you to start working with a virtual assistant?

In the very early stages after launching the company we found that we needed additional support to maintain the high levels of account management we wanted our clients to experience. It was imperative that we kept timely and accurate records of all our client contacts and actions to ensure faultless execution and we did not have the resource in-house.

Tell us a little about what you have delegated and how you work together?

It was imperative that we updated our CRM for all our client contacts and actions to ensure we did not miss anything. At the time we did not have the resource in-house to execute in a timely fashion. We also needed to grow our database to several thousand contacts and this was very resource intensive.

The responsibility to ensure that all records were uploaded each day was delegated to our virtual assistant (Dee). At 8am the following morning we would receive and email confirming the update into our CRM system.

How has working with a virtual assistant supported your business, and you personally?

Using a virtual assistant has benefited me in two ways; firstly, it has meant that I have been able to keep accurate and timely records of all my client and prospects. It is vital that I have up to date and accurate information held on my clients, for quick and easy access to their files. It has also allowed me to focus on managing projects and meeting objectives for my clients and prospects.

Did you experience any challenges? How did you overcome them?

No! The work was carried out to spec and the only challenge was me getting the information to my VA on time.

What advice would you give to aspiring virtual assistants looking for new clients?

Always look for clients who are willing to respect the work you do.

Do you need help hiring a virtual assistant that can help you manage your tasks? Tell us what you're looking for here, and we will feature your listing to our talented VA community!
